Dosing Instructions (Volume & Weight-Based) To convert DE to Fiber usage, follow this formula:
1 lb of DE = 1 2/3 cups - Each cup weighs approximately 1.9 oz (54 grams).
Therefore, 1 2/3 cups = ~3.2 oz (90 grams).
Use the chart below for the most common DE filter sizes, based on 1 lb of DE per 10 sq ft of filter area:
